Double notch as a trademark

Hardly any manufacturer still uses this: the double notch on the front interrupts the otherwise full-surface display, which is held together by narrow edges. The back features a round camera array and small Honor lettering. The casing measures 162.7 x 77.1 x 8.8 mm and weighs around 223 grams including the technology. As usual, the case is perfectly finished. New this year: the device is not only IP68-certified, but also IP69-certified and therefore optimally protected against dust and water.

Elite Processor

Without question, only a high-end processor is worthy of a flagship like the Honor Magic 7 Pro. This is why the manufacturer from Asia has opted for the new Snapdragon 8 Elite, which has significantly improved performance thanks to new technology and can also operate with unrivaled energy efficiency. The octa-core CPU clocks at up to 4.32 GHz and is accompanied by an Adreno 830 GPU. With 12 GB of RAM, multitasking is no longer a problem. The internal memory is also pleasingly large at 512 GB.

Latest generation LTPO panel

The built-in panel of the Honor Magic Pro 7 is also at a high-end level. The 6.8-inch display uses AI Oasis Eye Care technology, which is particularly easy on the eyes and can reliably filter harmful blue light. Thanks to LTPO technology, the refresh rate can be dynamically adjusted between 1 and 120 Hz. The resolution is very high at 2800 x 1280 pixels and achieves a pixel density of 453 ppi. The maximum brightness has increased compared to the previous model and is now up to 5000 nits. PWM dimming with 4320 Hz is also supported.

Improved telephoto lens

Last year, the Chinese manufacturer's flagship already scored highly in terms of the camera. The Honor Magic 7 Pro goes one better. A 50 megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture is offered on the front. This is complemented by a 3D depth camera, which also enables particularly secure unlocking. The camera trio on the back is led by a 50 megapixel wide-angle sensor with variable aperture from f/1.4 to f/2.0 including OIS and anti-reflective coating. A 50 megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a shooting angle of 122 degrees has also been installed. The telephoto lens has been improved and now offers 200 megapixel resolution, an f/2.6 aperture and OIS, as well as 3x optical and 100x digital zoom.

Enlarged battery

There is also progress to report with regard to the internal power source. This now measures a whopping 5850 mAh and, in conjunction with the power-saving components of the Honor Magic 7 Pro, promises an outstanding battery life. It is charged via a USB C cable with a record-breaking 100 W. The battery fills up just as quickly with up to 80 W via wireless charging. Like its predecessors, the latest model in the series also supports reverse charging for charging gadgets. 

Maximum equipment

It goes without saying that the Honor Magic 7 Pro is equipped with only the most modern standards and leaves nothing to be desired, even for demanding users. The device can be unlocked either via Face Unlock or the fingerprint sensor integrated in the display. Dual 5G support and WiFi 7 ensure that you are always surfing on the fastest network. An NFC chip for contactless payment is available. High-quality stereo speakers, IP68 and IP69 certification and USB 3.2 support are also provided.
